This manuscript not only introduced a new useful method for handling the billions of sequences that exist today, but also provides a nice mini-review of the current state of alignment and protein finding programs. Also, the authors are very open to the strengths and weaknesses of their method and when it should and shouldn't be used. Overall, a useful paper to anyone doing large scale computational genomics
