An extremely important addition to the field that has been shaped by in-vitro work. More histological analysis such as this high-resolution study is badly needed. My evaluation refers to the main finding here (the target-cell polarization). Secondary aspects of some of the images may be interpreted differently (specifically, the molecular pattern in the synapse may rather reflect how the typical image plane is cutting though the curved cell surface and through the intracellular compartments). All the data are of rare quality.
