I find the topic of this article fascinating, and I am interested to see how it will be received by the research community in this area. Since I am not an expert on phylogenetics, fossils and dating techniques, I relied on the expert reviewers when deciding to recommend this article for publication in PLoS ONE. I give this article only three stars on "Style", however, because I found it somewhat difficult for non-specialists like myself to judge the significance of the findings and their likely scientific future importance.
