The second sentence of the third paragraph of Materials and Methods section is incorrect. It should read: Carbon stable isotope ratios were reported relative to the PDB (PeeDee Belemnite) standard and expressed as a per mil (‰) deviation according to the equation δ13C = {[(13C/12C)sample / (13C/ 12C)standard] – 1} x 1000.
