closeHOW MANY CASES ARE NOT BEING REPORTED?

Whether there is an AKI 'epidemic' or not is uncertain. But the situation is not helped if reports of the need to adjust medication on a seasonal basis remain unpublished. For details please see:

Dear Professor Forsdyke,
Many thanks for your comment and your paper which I very much enjoyed. The phenomenon is familiar to all doctors who have ever sat in a blood pressure clinic on a hot day, and glorify in everyone's very well controlled blood pressure, before discharging them. Indeed in many Southern European countries patients are advised not to take their medication in very hot weather. Your work has prompted me to look at seasonality in my current work and I will be in touch if we identify anything of interest.
Best wishes
Laurie
