Allergic contact dermatits?

Posted by Troll on 29 May 2015 at 10:42 GMT

Was it ever considered that these lesions are a contact dermatitis from polyester?
I suffered for many years with morgellon like lesions all over my face. As soon as I stopped wearing a polyester surgical mask, my lesions healed and cleared. I do notice that any exposure to materials or products that contain a petroleum product will cause new lesions. I can remedy and control the breakouts by avoiding petroleum products and using hydrocortisone and antihistamines. I also notice that sunglasses or protective goggles made of plastic cause lesions anywhere they touch my skin. It is a delayed reaction with the lesions appearing 24-48 hours after exposure. Prior to the lesion there is a prickly heat sensation and puritius.
The possibity of such an allergy was suggested by my doctor, who has refered me for patch testing and advised me to stop wearing my surgical mask. 3 weeks after removing the mask, using hydocortisone and antihistamines my skin cleared.
The notion that we are all delusional is ridiculous, offensive and is an avoidance of addressing the problem.
Having these types of lesions can make a person depressed and drive them into a psychosis..... Not depression and psychosis causing the lesions.
