RF cloning

Just for the record.
The concept of “circular polymerase extension cloning” (CPEC) technique described in Figure 1A of this paper was first reported three years before (2006) by Fusinita van den Ent and Jan Löwe under the name “RF cloning”, in a paper published in the Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Methods. (Volume 67, Issue 1, 30 April 2006, Pages 67–74; http://www.sciencedirect....). It is regrettable that no reference was made to the original publication.
