A very fun paper

Do sheets of ice without rocks move as well, or are the "rock sails" an essential component for ice sheet movement?
Thanks!

The rock sails do not catch enough wind to make much difference in the total force involved. The floating sheets of ice accumulate wind stress over their entire surface and this aggregate force is adequate to slowly drive the stones across the submerged and very slippery playa surface.
