I would like to clarify that species identification was done by us and not by Dr. Farstey or Mr. Gur who have pointed us in the right direction.
Non the less, it was Dr. Farstey who first directed me to the fascinating optical properties of the Sapphirinidae and for this I am deeply in her debt.

For plankton collection we used the boat and plankton net of the Inter University Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat and we are grateful for the opportunity of doing so.
