Difference in breathing profile, a potential confounding factor

The gene expression profile may be influenced by breathing before, ongoing and after the relaxation response (RR) practice, especiallythat the authors found some associaitons with energy metabolism etc. In addition, participants' informaiton such as age, gender BMI etc is of lack.
