Mead acid

Interesting paper. I wonder though, what was the level of mead acid (20:3n9)? This marker of essential FA-defiancy is increasing sunstantially at total low PUFA diets. It would be interesting to know, if it also is increased by "pure" n-3 PUUFA defiancy.
What was the skin condition of the n3 PUFA deficient mice? The first efects of n3PUFA deficiancies are loss of the water-barrier function in stratum corneum, this might cause stresses that migth interfere with your interpretations.
