Unorthodox studies of large scale genome structure should 1.) try harder to connect findings with molecular processes or biology, 2.) admit if the study was more for the love of emergent patterns in nature and not necessarily for the love of molecular biology.

I admit I'm guilty of both in this paper. I still think it's a very interesting study with novel results. --Ken Locey
