This is an outstanding piece of work. It answers one very critical question: Does hsp110 have any chaperoning activity and is this activity an addition to its NEF function.

My only question is the suggestion that hsp110's ATPase function is involved. This seems to be somewhat difficult to reconcile with its either weak or nonexistent ATPase activity. The mutational approach to this question in this paper is adequate, but additional evidence would be welcomed.
