An indepth look at the history of cacao

Better description of the genetic origins of the cultivated and wild cacao is important for many aspects of managing this crop including breeding for resistance to witch's broom. The data in this study provide a firm footing for studying diversification among these species as well and an interesting model for amazonian speciation.
