mouse environment and sick building syndrome

I read your article about mouse environment in Plos One and thought of other implications. Sick building syndrome is characterized in a large part by fatigue. I wonder if the decreased aggressiveness noted in poorly ventilated cages actually is an inhibitory neurological reflex mediated by nasal afferents.

I will send you several of my articles hypothesizing that such is the case and the fatigue perceived by humans in the poorly ventilated sick buildings is actually the human perception of an inhibitory reflex. The older literature of the "smoke reflex" in rabbits demonstrates reflexes that are perhaps the same as you have described.

I will be most interested in your thoughts.
