Analysis of data prior to culling

Posted by Clarity on 23 Dec 2010 at 19:08 GMT

Do you know if instances of herd breakdowns in the RBCT triplet areas in the 10 to 20 years leading up to the start of culling have been analysed? I ask this because I guess this may give more insight into the likely impact of statistical error in the reported results.

It would be quite interseting to see culling effect graphs which not only cover during and after the trial but also several years before culling began. If it was possible to carry out a pre-cull analysis in a way which was consistent with the during and post cull analysis, this would give an easy to understand and clear picture of the impact of statistical error to people (such as myself) who are unable to understand the finer points of statistical analysis and expressions of confidence.
