Nice paper

I enjoyed reading it. The one flaw I noticed is that the comparison between the "palatability" of the planktonic and biofilm bacteria is not performed on the same predator, so that one cannot really be sure that the comparison is really between the two life forms rather than the two predators. I wonder whether there is a good "common" grazer that works for both biofilms and planktonic bacteria. Alternatively, perhaps the biofilm could be physically dissociated into planktonic bacteria and presented to the filter feeding grazer?
