I don't understand the rationale for so many different window sizes. What information is gained from the different sizes? Can the size of the lowest scoring window be used to estimate the age of an event? It would be interesting to see a histogram of the frequency of window sizes or to compare informative window sizes in different regions of the genome. It seems like this kind of data may hold more information than is discussed in the paper.
