This paper is exciting because it provides much-needed progress on the push-pull interactions of the default network with task-related networks. The function of these spontaneous fluctuations are hotly debated and this work adds an important piece of information to the debate.
I'm looking forward to the reactions of the field and have published my own musings in this blog-post:
