Great to see a subject treated so comprehensively

I've not rated this article because I don't have the geological background to assess it, but I wanted to comment just because it's so good to see a subject treated so very comprehensively; also great that the PLoS platform provides such a good medium for multiple large colour figures. Congratulations to all involved!
