closeControls are critical

As in all of science, the controls are critical.
Professional and low handicap golfers have to have excellent dexterity as well as cognitive skills. To my mind the most appropriate control group would be an age and sex matched cohort of surgeons.
Just what are the demographics of your "NOGOLFERS"?
Robert Greenstein, an appalling golfer and retired surgeon.

Dear Robert Greenstein,
Thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right. The control group is essential. We also thought about musicians as controls (pianists, violinists or the like). Surgeons would also be good. But so far we know, golfers are special because they should have more skills than dexterity and cognitive skills. They should also have an excellent body feeling and sense of balance.
The NOGOLFERS were matched to the golfers according to age, sex and economic status.
Thanks so much for your comments.
