Cancer & Brains

The researchers should look at the other big brained vertebrates like dolphins to see if there is validity to their thesis. Cancer rates in vertebrates vary significantly, even dinosaurs had cancer and given our sample of surviving fossils, the rate must have been quite high. Projecting from apoptosis to cancer rates is a bit of a jump unless there is a mechanism, e.g., exosome failure.
