Referee 1's review:

The authors have now removed the data on overfeeding (because of too few subjects) and focused their manuscript in relation to cold exposure and with a larger number of subjects. The overall data analysis & interpretation have improved. However, the title and conclusion in Abstract should reflect that this paper now report data only on adaptive thermogenesis in response to mild cold exposure. The title should therefore read ' Human skeletal muscle mitochondrial uncoupling is associated with adaptive thermogenesis in response to mild cold exposure'.
