Blue light blocked by plastic? not controlled for?

My only suggestion is that plastic blocks most far blue and uv light in the spectrum that would accelerate degeneration in a model like this.

This should be discounted by doing the same experiment in 24 hr darkness rearing. Without that control I am not yet convinced. I have an open mind, but I am not convinced yet.

Competing interests declared: I use the rd10 model but enrichment effects are not my area of investigation and would not concern me should it be true or not.
