Thanks for your interest. While your review review is generally sympathetic and perceptive, it contains some misunderstandings and misrepresentations of my study and the phylogenetic method. To clear these up, I have tried to take up your invitation to respond. Yet despite posting my reply on your website some time ago (twice), it has yet to be published. In the interests of good scholarship, I respectfully ask that you make my response available to the public. Alternatively, perhaps you could copy your critique here so that I can post my reply through PLOS ONE.
