Too bad the study didn't include fungi/mold spores and resulting mycotoxins. In my opinion, mold spores and mycotoxins are a bigger contributor to "sick building syndrome." How about setting out some Petri dishes in the rooms and finding out any relationship of mold spores with architecture?
Non the less, tis' a fascinating study with just bacteria.

I am personally VERY sensitive to mycotoxins. As for bacteria, my bacteria greatly outnumber my cells, and so that I am bacteria. I'm able to counteract bad bacteria by personal hygiene and by consuming prebiotics and probiotics. However, my only recourse for mycotoxins is avoidance. I want architecture that avoids mold spores and not so much for bacteria.
