Do first-time migrants differ in their journey from experienced migrants?

This is one of the first papers tracking birds on their migratory journey by use of a new recording device. The variation in migration route is highly interesting. It would be great to see more such studies that also compare migration routes of first-time migrants with those of experienced migrants.
