very innovative approach to an historic quandary

This is a refreshing approach to trying to answer the apparent contradiction: some say that biomolecules cannot survive over historic time, but yet are at a loss to explain when ancient sources yield them other than to claim it must be a mistake (see Salzberg comment). This paper takes a broader approach with comparisons to modern structural biology to provide the first explanation as to how these, admittedly well documented as coming from the fossil, peptides could survive for so long.
