Cnidaria are not actually basal within Metazoa, nor are Anthozoa basal within Cnidaria (see Collins, Cartwright, and McFadden 2005 in Integ. Comp. Biol.) . That this is not the case does not compromise your conclusions or diminish the importance of this work.
