closeRhesus Negative blood type?

"Gluten-sensitive rhesus macaques may be an attractive resource for investigating both the pathogenesis and the treatment of celiac disease."
Was wondering if there have been any tests to see whether Gluten Sensitivity is more common in those with RH- blood type.
Just a thought ..

Thank you for your question. No attempts were done in order to link gluten sensitivity in macaques and RH- blood type. However, this could be done retrospectively - by tracking generated results and checking RH type of tested animals. I doubt that such association exists. What we did in term of genetics is MHC II typing. We found statistically significant association between TG2 antibodies in macaques and frequency of 2 particular MHC II (Mamu II) alleles. These results were published this year's in Clinical Immunology. Best regards - Authors.
