Misalignment between the MRI image and the mask ?

Areas of decreased GM concentration in heterosexual men are shown in blue and areas of decreased GM concentration in homosexual women are shown in yellow (p<0.05; FDR corrected, sagittal section at x = −29).

There seems to be a miss alignment between the blue+yellow mask and the underlying MRI image.

Was this the MRI image that you used as spatial reference for the study ?

For example, in the occipital area the blue mask is covering the dura, which... of course... should not have any gray matter. The blue mask seems to be also overlapping regions of white matter.
