The p value describing the significance of the negative relationship between percent body fat and the logarithm of energy intake in the boys is correctly described as p=0.15 in Table 2, but incorrectly as p=0.05 here in the text, and in the abstract. Our overall finding of a lack of any evidence that community based children with higher percent body fat consume more energy than those with lower percent body fat is unaffected by this error. It should also be noted that the statistically significant negative relationship between percent body fat and energy intake in the 8 year-old boys (p=0.003, paragraph 5 of the Relationships section of the Results) supports the negative trend (p=0.15) seen in the boys overall.
