We appreciate the observation that young men sometimes are unsure about circumcision status. In fact, two of 18 participants were unsure of circumcision status at study entry. Circumcision status was subsequently confirmed by the participants' mothers. All participants reconfirmed circumcision status subsequently, and the majority were confirmed by physician exam as part of a different study.

We believe the additional comments in the Bollinger post do not warrant response.
