This is the first example suggesting that designer peptide scaffolds alone without additional extra growth factors could influence neural stem cell differentiation towards neural and glial phenotypes.

I believe the Stupp Group has published a Science paper concerning the differentiation of neural stem cells using only their peptide amphiphile nanofibers.
