Updated catalog number

Posted by AndyFarke on 20 Feb 2012 at 18:22 GMT

One of the Rhamphorhynchus specimens described in this paper, designated as RAM V97017/258, is actually held under a different catalog number - the original designation which has previously been given in the literature is outdated.

The specimen in question is accessioned into the collections of the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology (RAM), Claremont, California, USA. The current catalog number for the Rhamphorhynchus skeleton is designated as RAM 14522, and RAM V97017 is the locality number. This specimen is available for study by qualified investigators by appointment with museum staff, and histology slides also are available for loan to qualified investigators.
