Were the fruits and vegetables washed?

Hello, were the fruits and vegetables washed before the nutritive extract was isolated? If so, how were they washed/rinsed? I've heard that a lot of the pesticide residues are rinsed off with rinsing/washing, and I assume most people do rinse/wash their fruits and veggies before using them; I hope that was done in this study.
