closeVelvet supports SOLiD data

In figure 1 velvet is classified in solexa only category, but the program also supports SOLiD data.

Velvet supports the data from Solexa and 454 platform(no including SOLID), see Velvet webpage:http://www.ebi.ac.uk/~zer.... The updating information can be found:http://www.sysbio.org.cn/.... As data from SOLID is formated as csfasta, only few assemblers suppot this type of data- such as shorty.

Yes, Varuzza is correct. Velvet definitely does support SOLiD data, as long as it is compiled with the 'make color' option. See the Velvet manual at http://www.ebi.ac.uk/~zer...
