When we tested EP-67 on transfected cells, we found that it was considerably more potent at the (human) C3a receptor than at C5a1 receptor. Have you measured the contribution of C3a receptor to your observed responses?

We have no evidence that the C3aR plays any role in the EP67 response. In several papers, including those on which I am not an author, it has been shown that EP67 activity is completely dependent upon signal transmission via the C5aR CD88. These experiments have included in vivo protection and in vitro stimulation of freshly isolated cells. Without knowing what your cells are or what they have been transfected with, I'm not sure how else to address your question.
