Some synesthetes report that the length (duration) of seeing a grapheme covaries with the intensity of their colour percepts: the longer and the more intensely they stare at a grapheme, the more vivid ("intense") the colour percept.

Hence, it would have been nice if the authors of this paper would have varied the duration of stimulus presentation, say: 500 ms, 1 s, 1,5 s, 3 s.

Unfortunately, most authors do not ask other authors BEFORE publication...
